Who Do You Believe About Cat Nutrition?

Cat food is a controversial topic! As a truth-seeking person, you may find yourself shifting from one point of view to another, becoming more and more confused in the process. When you’re frustrated, you may only do the simplest of things. But this may not be in your cat’s best interest.

I am not a vet. Most people think that a vet is the best person to get health advice from any animal. I certainly agree with that. However, in our unknown world, you must be aware of the subtleties that gradually disappear beneath the surface.

I hate negative views, but if you don’t understand what’s happening, you run into many traps.

Vets (and doctors) have become agents of Big Pharma. Many practitioners learn this too late (after investing too much) and often feel trapped by the system. Some people learn better methods (and drastically lower their pay in the process). Some people have completely unsubscribed.

University degrees are always looking for more funding. Few universities are at a disadvantage when a large company has a big check in their hands. However, the check is always accompanied by a string. In this case, they want to influence students.

Therefore, veterinary students do not have to look for the cause of the disease, but to name the disease and then provide medicine for it. After all, this has excellent marketing significance. But these drugs always have an inhibitory effect, which can cause the animal’s health (or immune system) to deteriorate and prepare for further illness for further treatment.

If you don’t believe me, please think about it. If veterinary clinics do well, their practice may decline or become more popular and attract people from other veterinary clinics (not very popular among those vets!).

A veterinary clinic near me proudly says it has been one of the fastest growing businesses in the region in recent years. company? Is that the current concern? Is it just business?

Cat food has taken a big hit in recent decades. However, another veterinary school supporter, Big Pet Food, impacted the basic nutritional value of education. Likewise, feeding foods that can cause health problems and require treatment in the future has excellent marketing interest.

Therefore, the training your vet receives is unlikely to adapt it to the cat’s natural diet or the cause of the disease. The vets, who soon became frustrated with what they could achieve, continued to study holistic health care. Then they can really help the animals.

So what’s wrong with commercial cat food? There are many reasons, but the main one is the carbohydrate content. In general, all commercial cat foods contain a high-carbohydrate diet because it is much cheaper than meat. Grains are one you may want to avoid. However, grains have now been replaced by other carbohydrates that are equally harmful to cats.

Other than a very small amount of carbohydrates found in a prey’s stomach, cats do not naturally eat carbohydrates. If they manage to hunt multiple times in a short period of time, they can be rejected even then.

The only time cats look for plants is when they need some form of medication like eating grass to induce vomiting.

The cat’s body structure is designed to be lightweight and easy to poach and pounce on in silence. This comes at a price: they can’t handle the alkaloids and phenols in plants that omnivores can handle. Few veterinarians (or Chinese doctors) know this.

For cats suffering from diabetes and other conditions, vets usually provide them with a high-carbohydrate / low-protein diet. But this is the wrong way. The first is that (some of) carbohydrates cause problems, so this food can make the condition worse.

The only diet that supports feline health is their evolutionary diet. You can’t, of course, repeat the operation completely, but it can be so close that it doesn’t matter. Natural cat food starts with understanding the origins of cats. The best teacher is nature!
